LUMIN® provides products that meet a variety of social needs whilst preserving a healthy environment through sustainable timberland management. One of the pillars of our responsible management is our commitment to producing wood based products for humanity, that conserve natural resources and biodiversity.

Our other pillars include corporate social responsibility, which focuses on safety, diversity, ethics, responsibility and sustainability. We are committed to complying with local and national standards in the environments in which we operate in.

The health and safety of our employees is extremely important to us. In fact, since LUMIN began operating in Uruguay in 1996, we have been publicly recognised as a leader in safety standards. All employees have the responsibility and the right to refuse work or stop an activity if they consider it unsafe.

Every part of our operation places the environment as a priority. We comply with all laws, rules, regulations and best practices in the areas where we operate. In fact, Uruguay’s national forestry standards were originally modelled on LUMIN’s management practices. We closely cooperate with authorities and regulators to ensure we comply with all environmental standards.
